You could request replacement parts from retailers. Go to http://www.depot53.com/Owner+Manuals.html and find the owners manual for the TM M4A1 and find the part number for the foregrip. Email the retailers and they will order one in for you. In that, you can fit a mini battery easily, but you will lose your rails.

Careful here as I tried this years ago.

you may also have to change the round Foregrip/RIS retainer (don't know what it's called) that's attached to the front sight as the diameters were different by about 4mm - the RIS having the larger diameter.

This was 7-8 years ago though so maybe the specifications have changed since then.

You can do this with ICS guns though

If the new foregrip has been designed to fit batteries, yes you can swap them easy. You should be able to swap them anyway as I do quite regularly on my M4 and my CQBR between RIS and a normal handguard, but I have the batteries in the stock.

My gearboxes are rear wired, hence the battery in the stock. Personal taste, the batteries in the stock in my opinion balance the aeg better.
