What to do next....
14 December, 2010, 21:38
I have two projects in mind for the christmas holiday:
1.'Battle rifle'
I plan to get a standard TM VSR G-Spec and do the following; TB or TKT barrel and a nice fire fly rubber and nub, then mabye bump it to 350 FPS. To be used as a Med distance, not sniper, but single shot rifle. Taking advantage of the accuracy and the little noise produced, lone wolf.
2.MILSIM 'type' gun
Not 100% sure on which rifle to get for this. It will try and have super trigger response and a 'RS matched' ROF at the same time. Have 30 rounders, making it harder for me when I'm getting blasted by high-cap crazy rentals, and be as plane as possible mabye a AimPoint or similar.
Which one would you go for?

Battle rifle sounds nice.

I like the milsim but not the idea of keeping it plain and simple.

The battle rifle.
like you said, you could get blistered by hi-caps..... so use your option to have accuracy and extra range to take them out long before they get you!
My opinion.
would be great to get a WW1/2 battle rifle though- styled like a M1 garand, Kar98....or similar... would make it that bit nicer!

Re: What to do next....
I think I will go for the battle rifle. Seems cheaper on paper and it would be nice to have some thing other than AEG's. I might have another GB for my MP5 with said set up in it.

Re: What to do next....
Just a update if anyone is interested:
As I now have a stubby M4 I decided to make a mini DMR! I think this is the funniest and best way as it has both things in.
247mm prommy barrel (Not a TK twist as I might go over 1J when I go to other sites)
Fire fly soft or medium rubber with nub
Torque up gears
Thats about it really!

I don't get it... What's going to make the stubby gun a "DMR"?

Re: What to do next....
Well it
might
be over 425 FPS, locked to semi, ect. I suppose is all about personal opinions on the matter. What defines a DMR for you? 12 inch rail, huge scope and all that......

Re: What to do next....
I've come across some sites that specify a DMR has to
look
like one (long, scope, short mags, etc) in order to stop everyone jacking their AEGs up to 425. I'm sure it varies from site to site though.
