Suppressors/silencers... ?
30 December, 2010, 18:25
I have a WE 1911...
and am waiting for a WE hi capa 5.1 in the post.
My 1911 has a threaded barrel and i would quite like a silencer or suppressor for it...
I've tried to search the forum and simply I'm confused...
Whats the difference between CW and CCW threading and how do I tell which i have?

Re: Suppressors/silencers... ?
If i look DOWN the barrel (as if being shot)
it goes clockwise... so i would have to screw anything clockwise into it...
i assume that means I need a CW silencer then...?
are they just decorational or functional as well?

Re: Suppressors/silencers... ?
okay cool... i'm searching google...
most are coming up in the 40-60£ range...
and I can't find anything that seems suitable...
if its just decorational I still want one (for fun) but dont want to spend more than twenty pounds
Am I being unrealistic with this budget?

Get whatever silencer you like!
I personally run a zombie killer on my 226, some say it's overkill, then I shoot them

Re: Suppressors/silencers... ?
if it has a threaded barrel then it should attach, that silencer has threads in both directions so it should be fine, if not, someone on here will more than likely have it off you

Re: Suppressors/silencers... ?
Hmm after some looking , I dont think a 11CM silencer will suit a 1911.
Its just to short needs to be longer!"

Re: Suppressors/silencers... ?
I am waiting for a 20cm silencer now. I know its overkill but I don't care!
And glad me asking dumb questions can help someone other than me! :D
