      Right :D some progress , i finaly manged to get the lense cap off my surefire clone and get the cree lamp out, it is actually only a tiny fraction smaller than the g&p g60 lamp. it just fits into the mp5 torch if the rubber seal that goes over the lense is left off. Also both parts of the pressure pad activate it . Mulit function torch was a nice idea but not worth the hassle,i will just bin this rubbish xenon lamp and buy a second creeLED now i know for sure one will fit and work . :D
