but seriously though i am assumeing you mean attaching a sling too the rifle?? depends on the sling you have but should just clip onto the slot near the back of the stock and too the point at the front of the rifle.

there are 3 points of slingage (new word)
front, by sight
middle, by mag
back, by buttpad

but the rear one cant fit an actual loop, the space between the bar on the attacment and the stock is too narrow...

do you have a wee keyring thingy just the metal ring bit that fits nicely in the space mate and allows you too put the sling attachment onto that. you can use the mag point but sometimes it seems a tad small so i use the sight point,para cord works well too go round the points too attach the sling too.

Solid stocks arnt designed to take a clip sling, you have to undo the sling and feed the material through then put the sling back together.

alternatively a plastic tie thing, the ones that you can only feed through one way (the name temporarily deserts me ...) CABLE TIE! thats the one I have two of those through mine, crossed over to make an 'X' shape, and hook it on there, hasn't let me down in two and a half years ...

You can buy a sling that has 2 attachments to it, one goes around the rear of a solid stock and has an eye on it to clip the sling itself to, and also has a repeating eye that goes around that tiny rear stock mount and has an attachment eye, but i cant for the life of me find a pic!!

But if you have an ICS mp5, i highly recommend NOT attaching it to the front sight eye, as the front of the gun is held on by 2 tiny arms just as the handguard starts and they snap easily if the gun is dropped like to go to sidearm or whatever. So stretch out the eye on the mag well to attach it there. Just my 2p worth

Just had the same problem the other day when I put a three point sling on my mp5 for the first time. This link helped me work out how to thread the thing if you haven't managed to yet.

what a lot of people dont do, is to remove all the other slips , rings and ties that are on most universal slings, its most confusing but once you take of the bits that are for mounting it to other guns it staight foward. hope this helps
