EAG dorking - how many mags?
12 January, 2011, 15:10
Me and my mates are planning a trip to dorking soon and would really love some advice on something.. I have heard that the games are fast paced and non stop so how many mag's would you recommend taking out in the field? I run mid caps with my mp5 and have a max of ten to take out including one in the gun.. Hope you can help me out.

Erm perhaps you should try all 10 then you have as many as you can with you and leave some behind with your kit if you dont use them during the game.

10 mid caps should be enough for any game.
My advice is, re-load the mid caps when you have a spare couple of minutes. (If you need to. Have 3 back up mags, and 7 Primary mags)
Conserve Ammo - Why waste a shot? Discipline yourself, don't waste a mag if the bushes move.
10 mid caps should do you fine, that's about 800 - 1000 rounds isn't it?

Re: EAG dorking - how many mags?
Depends on what game they are playing. Some games are short and you won't use too much ammo. On the other hand there is one game which uses the entire site and half the day.
Enjoy though, it is a great site :D

Seems like a plan, the ten mags would total 900 rounds

Just to second what others have said - take as much as you can to begin with. Some of the games there do go on quite long and require quite a bit of covering fire due to the layout.

Re: EAG dorking - how many mags?
First time I went I carried 7 mids and first game about 3/4 way through I got through them and was down to my pistol and towards the end I was hunting round my pouches for stray BBs to reload my pistol mag. The games there certainly burn through BBs
I'd suggest taking a speedloader and a part bag of BBs with you as well so you can reload in the field, should you get time
