Eye protection for glasses wearers...
23 January, 2011, 14:37
As above! I don't really fancy shooting my glasses to see if the lenses shatter. And when I wore a full-face mask during a paintball game a year or so ago, the whole visor just fogged up and I couldn't see jack. So what would you guys reccommend?

As I've said in another thread you didn't find in a search...
I use ESS ICE 2.4 with a prescription insert.

Re: Eye protection for glasses wearers...
Well I wouldn't go out on the field without personally testing them.
I got some from my dad, didn't know what rating they were but they held up to full auto with a TM AK47 from about 5 foot away.
No visible marks from my testing, no cracks or anything.
If they break in your test, they're going to break on your face when it really matters, so to be sure I would personally test them.

What I think he means is, he doesn't want to shoot his main pair of normal glasses "just to see"
Anyway, I've heard that Bolle X800 or the clones should fit over the top of your glasses.

Use these,
I was going to get them but i skirmish without my glasses just to avoid hassle and the cost.

Re: Eye protection for glasses wearers...
I recently picked up a set of Daisy C3 USA Military glasses from KHM for about $10USD posted. Now I know what people think... China made and at $10, is that how little you value your eyes?
But I took a hammer to the clear lens (which I wouldn't ever use) and even after a fair few hits, there was no damage whatsoever. There's also a Youtube video about some crazy Russians who actually attempt to shoot a 9mm sidearm but doesn't penetrate the lens. How, I don't know - the round goes through enough cardboard!
So I was quite stunned. Needless to say I was shot a few times in the glasses on last skirmish and everything was hunky dory.
They also come with the prescription insert thing.
