Non Two Tone Question
24 January, 2011, 17:02
I have a small question
My son is under 18 he has his own two tone gun. My question is if he attends skirmishes 2 times a month with me, and if his gun breaks can he borrow one of mine being not two tone.
Thanks

Re: Non Two Tone Question
Yes, the VCRA doesn't restrict using or even ownership, just purchasing and manufacture

Re: Non Two Tone Question
Anyone can own an RIF, UKARA membership'd or not. It's the puchase that requires it, not the ownership. As long as he doesn't do anything stupid (Waving it about like a lightsaber in the Tesco car park) it will be fine.

Re: Non Two Tone Question
As your son is under 18 you must have already 'gifted' him his 2-tone
Next time just gift him a RIF.
If he wants to spend his Xmas/Birthday money he can buy himself Magazines, Batterys, Scopes, Upgrades which are not covered in the VCRA
Dont forget that unless you are SELLING or importing the law treats RIFs and 2-tones the same.

Re: Non Two Tone Question
if it for you and your providing the money /funds yes it is illegal
but if he brought from OWN money and gifted to you at site then no its not illegal (providing he is over18 and has valid defense), if the handing over is overview by a site owner and they know that you are over 16, and your relative has a UKARA
