Anyway, A&Ks have nice metal bodies, but internals just aren't up to the standard of a higher end make. I've had a fair fews A&K break very quickly.

They're good. Their most recent (ie 2008 >) releases of armalites have steel bodies, not just standard china pot metal.

Internals are okay. Their gear sets seem to be of very good quality, and I've not had any problems with anything else, but I'd still look at replacing a few things with Element parts (or better).

My A&K m16 is very solid to feel. No wobbles or creaks. Internally it's worth upgrading bits as i just won't reach the performance of a higher end aeg. Definately recommend if you're up for working on it a bit. But yeah, externally they're lovely
