Is it worth fitting a tight bore barrel to a pistol?

Re: Tight bore barrels for pistols
I dont think it would be to be honest mate unless its your primary weapon. dont really think its worth upgrading a sidearm.

Hmmmm....
Well if you can find a TK Twist barrel, buy one. Truth is, I have never used one in a sidearm, but people have told me it's worthwhile due to getting better accuracy, but more so better range.
Please get in touch if you want general help. Please report problematic posts.

Re: Tight bore barrels for pistols - Worth it?
My 2p's worth is that I had a TB barrel in my TM NBB SOCOM and apart from upping the FPS from 320ish on green to 350ish (spring and summer time only) it made a massive difference in accuracy (hitting out to about 70m).
To be fair it was a NBB which means no recoil which equals better accuracy so for a GBB it might not make as massive an impact.

yes its worth it. my hicapa has had £100 spent on it and the accuracy is fantastic.
if your going to use a pistol often its the best upgrade alongside the springs.

As Gaffa said, a TK twist would be more suited to a pistol.

Are you talking about the standard WA 6.03 or did you go down to 01?
If you have a TM, KSC or any half decent platform to start with pistol mods will make a big difference.
Yea i would say its worth it. Couple a tb to an upgraded piston+oring and bbu and you will have a pistol that will out range most aegs on the field! Plus its a million times more mobile than any other rif.
As wires said softer mag rubbers and a hop help too. But beware of high flow valves they can ruin efficiency and WILL increase cool down. Maybe try one in one mag to see how it works for your pistol and mods
