Re: dead zones?
Depends on how the game is being played on a certain day.
For example, if the dead zones are in use, once hit you will go to this area and wait out for a set amount of time. As soon as your time has expired, you join straight back in.
Sometimes you might just have to go back to your start point, and then join straight back in.

Re: dead zones?
To follow on from Hoggy's post, it depends on the gameplan for the day as to where the two (or three, or even four!) teams start. For example Bravo might start at 'The Nest' and Delta might start at 'Firebase Charlie'. These will then be each teams main base, where they take captured objectives etc...

Re: dead zones?
Okay, I've written out what I know as to be a few basics at Ground Zero.
Usual game days will consist of 2 teams, Bravo and Delta.
There is some history between the teams and some info on this should be on the Ground Zero
website
.
Dead Time and Dead Zones are set at the start of the day, where H (The organiser) will tell the game plan and tell you where your team's Starting Base, and Dead Zones are, and how long the Dead Time is.
Currently it is usually 5 minuets - which starts when you enter a Dead Zone that is in play for your team. This does not mean you do 5 minuets walking around or sat in a bush, you must go to a Dead Zone in order to officially as it were, do your Dead Time.
On some occasions there will be a third team added in, SOG. Who are a small team of people selected by H who will go around and stir up some fire fights, and often are part of an objective sometime in the day.
If you get confused, lost or in the worst case scenario want to report an incident or a player, there are marshals around the site and also marshals who are playing. If you cannot find a marshal, use a radio or ask to borrow a radio from someone and call a marshal on channel 6. This channel should only be used to contact marshals, all sub-channels of 6 are reserved for marshal use only. If you have trouble finding a marshal, look out for marshals in high vis jackets, they are clearly identifiable and will often be around a base where there is a large fire fight, or an objective drop.
If you cannot find a marshal, there are a lot of regular Ground Zero players who will be happy to help you should you need assistance with anything.
Hope this helps mate, and hope to see you at Ground Zero Woodland soon!
