Unless you want something with more metal of course.
I've had good experience with KSC, KWA and KJ Works. As for models, there's so much out there, have a look around and see what you like the look of. Glocks and M9s seem to be the most popular models but there is a HUGE variety

pick the one you think looks best

The TM P226 always seems to be a winner from what I've seen. I'm quite partial to the MK23 w/lam myself :-P

Agree with what most are saying, either TM or KWA. As far as a specific pistol goes, its down to you what you like the look of really, but personally I think that the TM FN 5.7 is one of the best pistols I've owned. Just my 2p :p

Re: Where to start when looking for a pistol?
As everyone else above mentions - 'TM' & 'KWA' are awesome, I had a pretty good 'We Hi-Capa Dragon' but not for everyone, I love the TM Desert Eagle I have just now. Keep checking out the Pistol Sales forum on here and you will definitely get a good bargain.

Me and my team mates use TM P226s they are freaking awesome. Range is that of an AEG.

Re: Where to start when looking for a pistol?
TM as a make, style/model how big are your hands? If you have girly hands a Desert Eagle will look out of place but if you have hands like shovels you could get away with it!!
TM Hi-Capa or 1911, or P226 would be my suggestion.

Re: Where to start when looking for a pistol?
Not to be too repetitive, but go KWA or TM. Both should give very good performance, try and go for the NS2 KWA ones rather than the non-NS2, they're far better. Having said that, their Glocks, while not NS2, are very good. Got 2 glocks myself, a mate has an NS2 USP Match, and another mate has a TM M92F - all are good guns, accurate and good range.
