Re: Why has my fps increased
I was assuming they would be unported but know by experience know quite alot of companies used ported cylinders up to approximately 450mm barrels; hence the jump in fps with a better matched barrel length.
As I haven't worked on g&ps before I was just guessing anyway, interesting to know they don't do porting- any particular reason, other than it might save wear on the piston head?
But yes, if they don't do ported cylinders go for a new spring, either way you would have had to take apart the gearbox
That and a less stiff spring makes it slightly easier to put back together!

Re: Why has my fps increased
As robin stated good gearbox + good airseal = higher FPS
I gave my sons M4S a 50,000 round service. No new parts , just a complete strip, clean and regrease. FPS went up by 25-30 FPS.
