M14 advice
15 April, 2011, 11:13
Hi I was looking at buying a TM or a G&P M14 but I am
Not to sure about the rifle grip, would love to put a EBR conversion
Kit on but it's wayy too expensive.about £500.
Is there any other rifles which can match or beat the M14
On: Range of fire- Accuracy- semi and auto firing.
But has the EBR look
Don't get me wrong if I had more money I would have gotton the m14 of A EBR kit but my budget is £400.
Hope someone can help :D.

Re: M14 advice
Eurgh the DMR kit is blasphemy...
Have you considered getting a cheap shoddy KART M14 EBR, you can pick them up 2nd hand for about £100, then use the rest of your budget to put TM M14 parts in it?

Re: M14 advice
Hmm did not know about that lol. Is it cheaper then
The EBR kit. As that would solve my problems.

Re: M14 advice
The KART EBR is absolutely rubbish. The quality of metal is extremely poor and is prone to cracking all too easily.
Why don't you buy a TM M14 second hand, use the cash you have left over, save up some and buy the EBR kit (or wait and see if a second hand EBR comes up for sale). I've seen them go for around the £400 mark

Re: M14 advice
I got myself a Kart M14 stock, the JAE one. Put the standard M14 stock straight back on!

Re: M14 advice
very true i have seen a very nice G&G M14 in the selling section which has all the extra bits i was after. but it looks like someone is buy it
if any of this fails is there any good alternatives for a M14 with the same key aspecs as i stated below ie range of fire etc.
and if that fails ill just have to man up and buy i new M14 and slowly upgrade. and save.

The TM is definitely the one to go for, just keep an eye out in the classifieds

Re: M14 advice
A good alternative to the M14 is an FN FAL. Not too sure on the price but they're as long as an M14, semi and full auto and good range and accuracy.

Wasn't it Kings Arms that also did one?

Re: M14 advice
The KART EBR is basically just a cheap clone of the G&P bodykit with some internals thrown in for good measure, it's not a *terrible* weapon but as stock they do need some work before being really usable with any degree of success (they have good range as stock, but accuracy is non existant and fps can be very variable from gun to gun). Slapping the bodykit on a TM M14 should do the job, but the damned thing weighs the same as a fat kid so I dunno why you'd want to as lugging that thing around all day is just torture even with a good sling.
