hello!!

Im thinking getting a silencer for my masada.

I want to get a big thick one, similar to the MPSD style.

I have a normal length barrel in my ACR.

I want to get it so the silncer is as close to the bod as possible (making the barrel look shorter)

My friend has a MP5SD, the silencer in that, the screw part sits inside the silencer about a inch, therefor, it make my barrel look shorter...

Is there any silencer that do this, but go further in?

I dont really want to spend to much on a silencer!... but ill spend a fair bit...

has anyone come across this? know what its called so I goodle it

There has been somebody in the classified section under the name of "rare over barrel silencer" or something like that. I don't think it will fit an ACR directly but maybe with a little modification it could fit? the only thing i can think of.

I did something similar with an M4. I took a short (100mm) suppressor that had both ends threaded, one +ve, the other -ve 14mm. Drilled out the one I didnt need to fit over the outer barrel of the m4. I passed the whole barrel through the suppressor and attached the barrel from the inside. By adding a couple of washers I got the barrel to fit flush with the end of the suppressor. Obviously, the suppressor was useless but it looked very good.

only problem is that I think that overbarrel one that is for sale is quite long and think but depends what you want, there are some i beleive where the thread bit is about half way into the silencer but cant remember which ones, will take a look around and let you know if I find any

im having a look.. I dont mind the silencer making my barrel a bit longer... but I kinda like the idea of the silencerlooking like its coming out of the foregrip

Tin that is a bloody marvoulous idea!!

seems it may be a cheap option, but get the look I want... just I liked the hugeness/thickness of the MP5SD one!!

most silencers seem to be rather skinny!!

Well I custom made one... kinda like how above was discribed.. but the barrel for a ACR is to short to have a silencer going all the way through it... hits the gas block...

What I dont was.... drill out the removable end of the Silencer...

cut upa ver foregrip, work out the length between the back of the flash hider and the where I wanted the silencer to end.

worked out how much of the vert foregrip I needed infront of the flash hider (also one end of the vert foregrip has a bit cut out of it, this goes over the barrel.


put a few bits of furry velcro inside and on the outside of the now cut vert foregrip ( keep its central in the silencer/makes it fi snug on the barrel)

took the flash hider off

put the removable end over the barrel, put my vert foregrip spacers, plus a few bits of foam from within the silencer

Put the flash hider on

put the other made spacer on, witha few more bits of foam.

Screwed it up!!

holds very steady, and gives me the look im looking for!!!

well I took some quick pics, may have to give the ol silencer a new lick of paint at the weekend!!

hopefully they make sense!!

was hardish as there wasnt a drill bit big enough at work!! lol, so had to file that sucka!!

fits on very tight, no wobble, and tried it int he garden, make sure it doesnt mess it up!!

look of a CQB barrel with a silencer, but without the £130 :D
