  • Vietnam kit

    Hey all,

I've just started airsofting and am really enjoying it though I have no Gear :D

I'm really into Vietnam era guns.style ( have myself a M16) but I can't find any Vietnam soldiers gear or more precisely don't really know where to look.

Could somebody link me to somewhere where I can buy some reliable Vietnam Gear.

    Along these lines

As MMUK sell military style clothing and tac gear, please no links to companies who sell modern equipment.

Sadly it doesnt work like that.

No other retailers, at all. Doesnt matter if Z1 sell it or not.
Its a stupid rule, but a rule none the less.

Also, the rules state not to link to competitors, I don't see how a shop that sells something Zero One, nor any of it's partner companies sell is a competitor.

                    Re: Vietnam kit

My understanding of this rule is that there should be no links to retailers who sell anything that a zero one company sells.

So, if you can find a Vietnam era specialist who doesn't sell anything else at all which MMUK or zero one sells, then that should be OK.

BUT, I'll flag this up for confirmation anyway and post if there's an issue.

Rafterman, I'm a pretty dedicated Namsofter. I'll drop you a PM with some details of retailers and other info.

                      Cheers,

                      Tom

                          Re: Vietnam kit

For your information guys, this was the reply I got when I asked for clarification on the links/naming rule in relation to specific era kit:

"It's essentially competition, like fanta and coke. Although they are both different, they are both competing for the same thing.

Anywhere that sells Vietnam kit only and linked on this forum is essentially swaying the advertising their way (if only slightly) to buy an alternative that Zero One MMUK sell."

                            Re: Vietnam kit

                            This kind of contradicts that:
                            http://www.zeroin.co.uk/showthread.php?t=3126
You cannot post any links to any website or forum containing products that are in direct competition with either Zero One/MMUK/GZ. Indirect links are also included in this rule, such posts will be subject to removal. Discussion of other retailers is not permitted.
So if they don't sell Viet Nam kit, it's not "direct competition".
