new, any suggestions?
5 August, 2009, 21:05
i played a few games a while back using rented guns, and really enjoyed them, and have been looking to get into the sport even more ever since,
i've been looking around and have found some aegs that seem good , any advise would be appreciated, 1 is the cyma cm.041 the 2nd is the JG M4A1 both would probably end up being 2 tone
i have also been looking into pistols and have found this, the DE M81 uso eap
any advise would be really apreciated

Re: new, any suggestions?
look around this section of the forum and you'll see plenty of discussion about what first gun you should get. JG guns are rated quite highly.

Re: new, any suggestions?
Hi there,
glad to see you like the sport.
My first AEG was a JG AUG A3 and its AMAZING. I would advise not buying anything from DE because they are not powerful enough to play at a scirmish site. The M4 would be good, not so sure about the mp5. Another great starter gun is the JG G36C from the website you posted it is super reliable and can do most roles in play.
Hope this helps

Not entirely true about DE, the USP is no less powerful than any other AEP, and they do a G&G clone UMP that usually comes in at 350fps, but DE arn't known for thier quality and they tend to make lower end weapons.
I'll echo the JG G36c recommendation though, they rarely recieve criticism and for the price are astoundingly good guns (love mine to bits, though sometimes I do wish I'd got a K instead, just cos it looks a little better)

JG G36c simple as that, you won't regret it and for bang for your buck its second to none.

Re: new, any suggestions?
ive been airsofting for about 18 months now and for me its been about progression i started with a second hand gun-check out the classifieds-theres loads of bargains to be had.
as you get more into the sport-you can spend the money the you saved on upgrades and gubbins.
'so long, and thanks for all the fish'

Re: new, any suggestions?
Just my 2p, two tone is really annoying, and very hard to remove once you become UKARA'd.
So my advice is buy something cheap two tone, FN2000 is a bargain. Or maybe a JG G36 too. Once you have the UKARA (which won't be long) you can get something you'll like for the longer term.
That way you get to see how you play a bit more, and save up a few more pennies. So end result is you can afford something good (and some assessories!) and you don't have a gun that shows through lime green everywhere
