Transporting RIF's to Ireland for a skirmish
11 June, 2011, 16:06
Hey All
A few of my friends live just outside of Dublin and have invited me over there for some airsofting and a jolly.
Ideally i'd like to fly over as i'm not sure i could do with the hours of driving to get to Wales and then the ferry,
Has anyone attepmted to fly with their AEG's and if so how much hassle is it ?
Cheers

Re: Transporting RIF's to Ireland for a skirmish
I didn't in the end, but I was thinking of getting a couple of guns when I was in Portugal last summer.
I checked with the airline (Easyjet) and they told me that they would have to be in a lockable case and declared at check-in. I'd get taken to a private area where the police would confirm that they were legal and that would be it for getting onto the plane.
On arrival, I'd have to go through the red lane at customs and declare them, as being found with them in the green lane would end up with the rubber gloves and KY coming out (their words!).
Phone the airline and customs and ask them, after all it's their choice.
