silencers

just wondering, i am going for a silencer for the front of my VSR want it to quieten it down don't care about looks to be honest. what silencer quietens things down the most? thanks. Greg.

Not sure I can answer your question directly, but bear in mind with airsoft most noise is not from the barrel, but inside the gun itself. (ie, no "crack" as the BB don't travel fast enough to break the sound barrier!!)
Padding the piston head is something I've seen a lot of, which I find is one of the biggest noises that comes out. That's the thud you hear when you fire. Foam inside all the gaps inside too is good to insulate the sound, and in general make sure everything is done up tight, and stuffed to make sure it don't move.
