£1500 to spend
16 June, 2011, 17:26
I was saving up to buy a PTW, but now I'm having second thoughts and im not sure if I still want one.
Ive been thinking about it a lot but I've decided that I'd rather buy a few 'normal' AEG's instead.
I want 3-4 guns instead so I'm interested in everyone's suggestions as to what to get. Im after assault rifles, no pistols and nothing specialised like a sniper rifles or lmg's etc. NO M4's :P
It'd be nice to take M4 type mags and 8.4v mini batteries but not a neccesity.
Oh yes, and i'm after a new gun, not second hand
So, any suggestions are welcome and I look forward to any replies.
thanks
Fizzy

TM recoil series? It's probably going to eat a chunk of your budget, but worth it!

Re: £1500 to spend
As above, I think I'd actually rather have a TM recoil as apposed to a Systema. This leaves money for mags and whatever else you want to stick on it too.

Re: £1500 to spend
you are in a position most of us dream about!
if it was me - a real sword ak with nice wood kit, a tavor and a g&p swat style m16 (the one with the torch on the front) and 500 left for beer money
to be honest you are best off trawling through retailer pages till you see a few guns that get you excited then come back to zeroin for recommendations for the best manufacturer.

Have you thought of getting something new from WE? They should be releasing some mighty sweet GBBR's later in the year/next year. Might be worth waiting and picking one up.

Agree with above. A tm m14 socom is a must!
When I:
Buy
: I live in Guernsey, but postage is the same as to the UK - see Royal Mail website
Sell
: I will only hold a sale item for a MAXIMUM of 1 week PROVIDED THAT a 20% deposit (of full asking price) is paid within 24 hours of the request.

A tm recoil scar fits your bill.... Not an M4, takes the mags (sort of) and also takes a 8.4v battery.

Re: £1500 to spend
Screw the PTW!
If that £1500 were to come my way I'd give you a...a...a...lolly?
Seriously though: I'd go with a GBBR if I had that much cash for airsoft (and if I were 18 - my parents have to buy my guns for me...I've spent less than £100 on airsoft in my entire life :D).
I'd personally go for the open bolt L85 or SCAR as I prefer the look and sound of them, and with that much money you could stock up on gas and mags!

Re: £1500 to spend
Well you said no M4s but fancied a decent bit of kit, this thing was supposed to be the succesor of the M4 but it never made it. I give you the Echo 1 Robinson Armament XCR Airsoft Rifle, about 420 quid but very cool. Also comes with its own PEQ unit and grip along with more RIS rails than you could shake a pointy (rubber
) stick at
Talking to yourself is fine, its when you talk to yourself, argue with yourself and then refuse to talk to yourself that you need to worry.

Re: £1500 to spend
this makes quite a difference from the "i have 10 pounds for an aeg what do you suggest" threads :D if you want 4-5 guns try get some interesting ones like fn2000 l85 famas or something so you have a wide range of guns tell you what i would go for the echo 1 xcr one mean looking mother!
