mp5 advice?
1 July, 2011, 01:50
Hi guys, after dragging a l96 and a M4 around for a day i found that there must be a kit alteration...
Got rid of my M4 and now have £130ish to spend on a SMALLER gun. I do like to drop my sniper for one or two games to get into CQB, so i was thinking of a mp5 with a sliding stock. I know nothing about what ones are best, etc. But i want to know will my needs be satisfied with a mp5 as a backup?
Have any of you used a mp5 as a back-up weapon?
Also, i play a lot of defensive games, where im required to hold a checkpoint/stronghold etc. And i can't obviously use a sniper for when 5 blokes come running though the door in front of me.
Thanks guys.

Re: mp5 advice?
MP5k's are great as a back up, only, if you plan on carrying with the sniper then you may find it a bit heavy, if you like gas smg's then the kwa mp9 is a fun little beast to carry with you, and there are leg holsters available, not seen many pop up in the sales section tho so is a bit more money involved.

Re: mp5 advice?
MP5K, not much bigger than a pistol but with auto electric goodness
You should be able to find a decent TM with a few mags and a battery within budget

Re: mp5 advice?
nothing wrong with the MP5(K) option, but what about an MP7?
there's gas or electric versions and either would also be ideal for CQB
can be holstered too

Re: mp5 advice?
An MP5 is a good option. Another to consider, if you haven't already, is a P90. There are a few TMs around for sale within your budget.
WRT MP5s: I'd also recommend a TM for your use. The plastic receiver makes them lighter, and therefore better for your backup requirement.

Re: mp5 advice?
MP5k is the way to go, TM usually pop on the classified section for a little over £100 with a couple of mags and a battery or two.

Re: mp5 advice?
i would highly recomend looking into G&G mp5's, for an abs (light backup=P) they have the best build quality i have handled. you can pick up a G&G mp5a4 with blowback for £130 brand new, but that would only get you 1 mag. if you can find one second hand it would be a great buy.
i have a TM mp5 for sale on here but its currently going for 140. if your willing to increase your budget i could add a few more mags into the package. (its an mp5a4 btw so had a solid stock)
For Sale!
TM M870 with a load of stuff
A&K massada sniper spec
Chronograph
leaving airsoft so everything must go

Re: mp5 advice?
i just bought a tm mp5k and the amount of fire power you can get out of something so small is incredible, i find that i t makes a great sniper back up because you can lay down loads of fire quickly or a great cqb weopen with a great ROF.
For sale:
-
Splitting M4
-
MP5 Parts
-
