Nooo! Use a bipod, thats what they were designed for. I just see the PSG 1 on a tripod, didn't know weather to puke or cry

A tripod isn't the most ridiculous of ideas. Snipers have been using them as a stable platform for some time.
Airsoft wise, not a practicle idea.

Well i use my tripod to help supp........oh a camera tripod i so miss understood lol. in all honestly a tripod might work if your going to be in one place for a really long time but the average airsoft game moves far to fast for it to be worth it in my mind.

This has got to be one of the worst ideas I've ever heard of in airsoft.

I know and i thought my idea to replace the aimpoint on my g3 with a magnifying glass was bad , oh well.

Re: Camera Tripod fitted to a sniper?

hi guys, cheers for your comments and insightful thoughts.
i don't think that i made myself very clear from the start!
when i say tripod i don't mean a full size 6 foot tall tripod, i mean a small 8 level adjustable table top tripod that will fold flush against the hand guard.
the other problem with the conventional bipod is that i cannot adjust between prone position and a seated position because if you get one that you can use from a sitting position it will inevitably be too long to use in prone!
as we all know it is not always feasible or comfortable to get into a prone position.
the site where i play usually operates small team based stealthy games where you can set up in one position for a while.
and yes i do think i will remain unhit for long enough to utilize it, im just that good!!!!

This made me lol, but you can get little tripods for digital cameras etc
if you can find one of the things it screws into and adapt it into your sniper you could fit these beasts on

cheers mate, thats the kind of thing that im talking about!
the one that i have my eye on is a low height but can adjust to medium heaight for sitting or kneeling positions as well.

Learn to use a single-point sling and you'll not need a bipod or tripod.
