magpul masada upgrades

Hey guys, I'm trying to squeeze a bit more range out my magpul masada, I haven't had the money to do anything to it yet, except I had the spring changed when I first got It, as it was a bit hot, so now its about 300fps during its last chrono.

Can you guys recommend any parts that I may be able to get fitted to just increase its range, cause I'm pretty happy with everything else

I'm in a simliar position as you, quite happy with mine but looking for more range. I have been looking at either a TK twist barrel or using 0.25 bb's and getting the zero one hop mod carried out. Both should have range extending potential but I would like to see one that had either done to compare against mine.

Im thinking the same sort of thing..... So what do they do with the hop?

can you change the barrel for a tightbore easily??

I live no where near zeroone, so I cant really get mine to them and then get it back...

im more thinking justa tightbore will make mine a bit better.. but its prettty amazing how it is..

The masada has a 6.03 inner as standerd and the hop bucking may be the problem nothing else , 4 team mates and me all have them at just under 370 and they are ALL banging .25s out past 75 yards easy

My mates brand new was hitting 47M with .25s with hop set

Just try to set the hop better as already stated. Switch to .25g bb's too, you'll notice a difference. Failing thatnyou could try changing the hop rubber. Otherwise you start moving into serious internal mods as discussed on another forum. Personally I think they're pretty shit hot out of the box.

cool, maybe ill try some .25...
will this make it more FPS though?? as at the moemnt mine is perfect on 330 :D

No the power will be the same around 1joule or 328 +- 2 with .2s , the fps with .25s will drop to around 295 but still be 1j

As above the .25s will travel slightly slower but power will still be the same, ALWAYS chrono on .2s

ok, cool.. I would always chrono on .2

so do take it .25 would just be more accurate as the power has more weight to get behind
