glasses ratings...

hello!!

this has prob been done abot 100 times...

My glasses are fine, but im worried about a friends....


he bought some from a fixer of screws, some Bolle™ Eyewear Yellow Lens Safety Specs


rated EN 166 1F


now after reading up about them a bit, im worried there not strong enough... think they come up as rated F...

can someone pelase let me know, ive tried google, but I just dont get a clear answer

I don't know much about the rating of them so I have always just bought them based on reviews and word of mouth etc

You should just follow this simple rule when it comes to eye safety:

When in doubt don't take the chance and buy some better ones

I mean you only get one set of eyes and being blind isn't going to help him play anymore airsoft now is it (:

lol, isnt me.. I have ESS ICE 2.4 which are ballistically rated...

just trying to find out what those codes mean etc

personally when ever i get new glasses i pop the 500 fps into my aeg and give it 10 rounds or so of point blank. if they break they are and were useless
personally i go for mesh for non fogging (Y)

I use Peltor glasses, and their built for military. Did have a pair by mil spec, but they got shot out a few mounths ago. Dont take the risk, I only go for ESS or Peltor

Isn't that a bit risky? What if an 11th shot at 400fps would shatter them?

...glad you wear mesh though
