G&P M4's?
27 July, 2011, 23:08
Hi all,
Anyone had experiences with G&P M4's, any necessary upgrades?
And hows there range?
Cheers

Re: G&P M4's?
In general excellent - the externals are among the best. The gearbox is also very good, and my personal choice for a mid budget standard.
Downside can be with the faster motor/lower powered batteries - get some semi lock up. The hop unit isn't bad, but by no means the best!

Re: G&P M4's?
Madbull Ultimate is a welcome, but by no means essential upgrade. Battery does not need to be 9.6v, more looking at a decent mah rating.

Cheers mate, does a 14.5 inch barrelled M4 have any advantage over a 10.5 inch barrelled M4?

Re: G&P M4's?
Put simply, not really, range is almost entirely dictated by the quality of the hop. A longer barrel will probably give tighter groupings, but if that's a 10.5 inch with a tightbore the difference probably won't be that noticeable, unless perhaps you try and use it as a DMR.

Yes they are pretty good. I have one in my G&P M4, I get great range and accuracy out of it on .25's with Fire Fly Rubber and Nub. I have a systema Hop Unit which I used for a while but went back to my Madbull Ultimate Hop, however mine seems to be a bit funny on the barrels it'll accept.

Internally yes, apart from 7.4v Lipo in the stock, I'd put a tightbore in but I run the risk of being over 350 FPS.
Externally no, Madbull DNTC flash hider, CA front end, Magpul MOE hand guard, Magpul metal body, Magpul heatsink grip, Magpul UBR stock.
I definitely recommend G&P M4's wont break the bank, very good stock and easy to work with, nice ROF. Great guns.
