C is discharge rate. Bigger the number, the faster it gives out juice. 20c is a standard number to aim for

Re: lipo question...
+1 to Boo
7.4v has 2 cells, 11.1 has 3 cells tho, the C doesnt relate to the amount of cells

Re: lipo question...
Yeap, C is discharge rate.
What you need is a battery that will give your AEG enough amps to do what it needs to do. To work this out you need to know the capicity of the battery, and the discharge rate.
Basicly, if you have a large battery, something like 3000+ mAh with a discharge rate of 20C + then you don't need to worry about it. If you have something like a 800mAh battery then it becomes important what the discharge rate is.
I can't remember what a standard AEG draws, I'm sure someone will let us know if it's important.

Re: lipo question...
If I remember correctly, a standard AEG will draw between 15 and 25 amps at any one time.
The C rating is the discharge rating so 800mah at 15C = 12A, 800mah at 25C = 20A. etc.

How you managed to get so much incorrect information into 1 line I'll never know <sigh>
Anyway, we've established what the C rating means. What are the options you're looking at, eg. mAh and C rating?

Re: lipo question...
Xray - id stick to the 7.4v lipos tho. The higher the voltage the faster the gear box tries to cycle in full auto(more bb's come out.) Till your ready to open up the gearbox and fix it, may be best to stay on 7.4's.
