Thundermaul
6 August, 2011, 19:59
Hey,
Just got a thundermaul, my first gun, and wanted to know a few things.
1) Is it skirmishable? If I took it to a site will i be able to pop a few people in the head with it?
2) Does anyone know the fps of it? As I dont want it to be too high.
Cheers, The Gnome.

Re: Thundermaul
Yes it's skirmishable, I believe it's a V2 gearbox so fps will depend on internals (not sure of standard power when new)
You won't make many friends 'popping people in the head' though!!

Hehe dw peoples heads are safe from me, body is a bigger target anyway ^^
Well cheers mate, might go down my local and get it chronoed.
The limit at my site is 350 for AEG's. Thundermaul wont be over that will it? :P

Re: Thundermaul
If im not mistaken, its a JG? So if it is, then it is very possible that it could be over 350 fps as they usually come firing hot. However, just get it cronoed and most sites will do a downgrade if its over themax fps.

Re: Thundermaul
So I've done some google research on your behalf. (It's a handy tool btw
)
*If it's standard, pre 2008 model it's likley to be ~300fps~.
*If it's standard and post 2008 it's more likely to be 400fps out of the box as they started using M120 springs.
* If it's second hand, and you don't know whether it's been modified, there's no telling without a chrono...

Re: Thundermaul
Aha cheers ALOT mate
muchly aPpreciated.
Will go get it chronoed anyway to see what it is 100% but I guess if that 400fps fact is on mine I may need a downgrade ^^
Cheers, The Gnome.

Re: Thundermaul
but as its a v2 gearbox parts are coming out of the ear of people so don't worry too much as its an easy fix.

Re: Thundermaul
It's not that bad, was my first gun as it was cheap. Second was a Warrior L96. But don't like sniping so it's now my bros haha.
Any front kit I can put in it to make it an m4? :P
Cheers, The Gnome.

Re: Thundermaul
now you have one you need to find yourself some thermoptic camouflage.
goodluck.
#edit# don't listen to all these haters, it gives an M4 some finesse.
