Re: Need some camo advice.
What people have missed, is where you'll be playing? Having run some tests with different types of camo, for somewhere like GZ, with plenty of ferns and decaying vegitation, woodland MARPAT works VERY well in all but Summer, and even then it's ok. Multicam works ok in most environments, but in woodland, a more specific woodland based camo is generally better.
However, camouflage is only as good as the person wearing it. If you're moving around unnecessarily, you're going to get spotted no matter what you're wearing.

if your after something a little bit different, try danish M84
ive got a set of real issue bdu's and i can honestly say for summer in woodland, nothing even comes close
only problem is, its difficult to find real issue ones, and you pay for that

Re: Need some camo advice.
ok thanks, yeah I am not too bothered about the look of it, I want to be invisible.
Where I play is a forest/wasteland. Lots of undergrowth and different woodland like enviroments. The forest has pines in as well as other common trees (sycamores etc) and the bits that aren't forested are very green and overgrown.
Think I will go with the marpat, cheers!

Re: Need some camo advice.
Well Toastie, why not rise above all the speculation about which camouflage scheme is 'best' - as you must remember airsoft agendas. 99% of the time airsofters choose their clothing purely on if they like it, not on whether or not it is effective, as, again the true potential of camouflage is not applied by the majority of airsofters, hence when at airsoft events you see people with camouflage clothing and a black assault vest or something similarly illogical in camouflage terms.
If you're going to be playing as a sniper, why not go for a ghillie suit if you're going to be wearing a hat too. You'll avoid all the speculation by doing this plus you'll generate your own ideas on what camouflage scheme is most effective as your role, as a sniper, will be to observe (and take out) the enemy - no better way to generate your own opinions based on real evidence of what camouflage scheme works best in a range of environments.
