TM 1911 MEU Magazine ALTERNATIVE?

Afternoon all!

Ive got a TM1911 and i love it to bits,

HOWEVER.

The mags are getting on my t*ts.

If they aren't leaking they are cooling down and failing to empty a mag.

Does ANYONE know of a magazine make that is compatible with my 1911? that doesn't waste a stupid amount of gas whilst filling up and isn't likely to cooldown and leak everywhere.

Or, does anyone know of a way to stop the stupid TM filling system and help prevent cool down?

My mags can barely empty half a mag. (continuous shoooting)
It's not audibly leaking but i havent tested it underwater yet.

The half a mag of continuous shooting really isn't bad. It's poor design on TMs part, there's no way a single stack width magazine can empty all 28 rounds.

Where is it leaking from? How much does it leak whilst filling?

I beleive you can use singlstack TM1911 mags on it

Get a refillable lighter, remove the rubber ring from the valve and put in on the GBB mag valve for silent waste-free filling

It's a second hand one off my mate, the mags were leaking so i took them apart and lubed them down and it hasnt leaked badly since.

what i mean is that when i fill them, its ridiculously loud and seems to shoot gas out everywhere.

ill try the underwater test and see if they are actually leaking or if its just my imagination.

cheers Apurturesci, could you elaborate on that? where to put the oring ect.

its the noisy filling that gets to me the most i think, it just sounds broken.

EDIT:
Just tested a magazine, from what i assume was 'full' i managed to get 8 shots out of it of continuous fire before the mag was empty.

Somethings wrong there then. Could be the valve is in incorrectly. do you get a lot of gas come out of the pistol when you fire? You shouldnt really see a cloud of gas or anything

no gas plume or anything :/

i AM currently testing by dry fireing, i didnt think this would efffect it but i suppose it could be letting more gas out than usual.

however i have done so much testing that ive used an entire gas bottle...

How long are you filling the mags for? Could be a busted/incorrecty assembled fill valve?
