Not a lipo expert but knowing SRC i wouldnt expect it to last long before you need to replace parts.

Re: should I lipo my SRC G36E?
i have had it for ages and never had a problem. it has out done most high end guns in the past and i can only say good things about the gen3 SRC's. i don't want much more power than a 9.6v anyway so i was thinking a 7.4v lipo would do the job. what do you think?
thanks
Rune.

Re: should I lipo my SRC G36E?
In that case you should be fine, theres very little difference between 9.6v nimh and 7.4v lipo. A higher C rating is better. Just make sure youre aware of the inherent risks. Ive stuck to nimh after i watched a guys freshly charged lipo destroy his heavily upgraded VFC scar.

Re: should I lipo my SRC G36E?
SRC Gen3 internals are quite solid for the price.
Been running my 16month old g36 on 9.6v Ni-Mh for about 6 months now with no problems.

Re: should I lipo my SRC G36E?
you dont need to change anything to use a lipo.
And I am sure everybody has had a mate whose lipo blew up on him just like everybody has a mate that done such and such blah blah blah
