Serpa for TM Desert Warrior
28 October, 2011, 01:46
Hey guys.
Does anyone know if there is a serpa holster out there that will fit a TM desert or foliage warrior with the ris rail still on the frame?
I am finding mixed reports via google like using usp and glock designed holsters?
Anyone tested this and know for sure?
Cheers

Re: Serpa for TM Desert Warrior
That might be a tricky buissness. I know NOTHING about clone gear, as I tend to use real deal. But as far as I know there might be a mod of some sort to make it fit another pistols holster. I use a serpa on my 5-7, so I know how it works. The major problem you will face is if you do the mod and everything else, you HAVE to make sure that the retainer clip lock in proplery. Because thats the only part actualy holding your pistol in

Re: Serpa for TM Desert Warrior
Simple, just remove the rail on the front of your Desert Warrior and it will fit into a standard 1911 SERPA
I've did the same thing with my old desert warrior, the only trouble is your left with two screw holes but that could be sorted out with some Tan painted grub screws

Re: Serpa for TM Desert Warrior
I thought the Desert Warrior had a Hi-Cappa 4.3 slide rather than the standard 1911 slide, which means it doesn't fit without some modding of the Serpa?

Re: Serpa for TM Desert Warrior
You are out of luck.
Pretty much every specialized holster does not let you use the rail.
Have the same pistol, same problem

FOBUS EMC holster
If you want Real Sim go to Airsoft,
If you want Realism go to Afghanistan.
Same letters different interpretation.

Re: Serpa for TM Desert Warrior
the slide is not the issue ,tis the rail . As said remove the rail ,if your not using it . If you want to keep it on and not use it theres always cutting the front lower off the serpa to allow the rail through . And finally if you want to fit a light get a safariland or blade-tech

Re: Serpa for TM Desert Warrior
I am currently in the process of making a custom M93R serpa-style hoster, will post up a how to later on, as soon as my rivets arrive but you can apply the concept to pretty much anything and the finish on it can be as good or bad as your skills are
