  • Ak47 mag problem

ive got a problem that when i put the magazine in my TM ak47 it will shoot then stop feeding for a while and after a shake it will fire again.. the bullets stay in the ho[p up fine and dont get jamed it seems to be the mag.......some time when i take out the mag the bullet arent pressured to the top they have about a couple millimeters the when you tip it upside down it is how it should be but as soon as you put it the right way it is not at the brim..what can i do??

Just the one mag? Is this a new problem? And they high, mid or lows?

Sounds like the spring is shot and has a tight spot in it and when you shake it it jumps back in its track/slot and pushes the bb's up again. You can take the magazine apart and rewind them, or may just be easier to get another magazine.

            Re: Ak47 mag problem

If all the same type of mags are doing it then it is a feeding/fitment problem into the hop unit. Sounds like the mag is not sitting high enough in the magazine well fo the hop to engage the release nub properly. If you look at the back of the magazine you will see the lip which sticks out and catches on the mag release lever (so the rear portion of the magazine) What youneed to do is shave a bit off of the catch. If you take about 1mm off off the bottom of the catch it will sit better in the mag well and allow the hop to engage properly. Give it a go on one mag and see if it helps.
