worn out hfc glock 17

Hi I have hfc glock 17 that I got broken and have found out that the part that sets the hammer back has been worn down so much that it cant cock the gun now I was thinking of instead of buying a new slide for £20 as I got it for £20 could I use something like epoxy putty or some other metal glue or would the stress of the gun firing break the fix

Or maybe a picture will be helpful, I got some tm spares might help

um no sorry i meant part g17-8 thought the 6 was a 8
