What Lipo charger?

Hi guys, I looked for a thread in this but Couldnt find one,
Im just wondering what charger you would recommend? And how much it is?
And what else would I need to charge them?

I use a Turnigy charger. Simple to use, but you need to ensure you have the correct leads for it. The charger comes complete but you need to ensure you have a spare tamaya lead to get the battery back into the system. £48.95 is what i paid for it, but thats mains and DC current (car battery).
Really the best bit of kit i have bought. Simple to set up for balance, trickle or quick charges, and even a quick balance. Just ensure you buy the right lead for whatever battery you are using (airsoft end, not lipo end) or you cant do the loop back, which is needed for the balance charges. Also worth looking for a lipo tester so you dont drain them too much.
Its worth investing in a decent balance charger which you can monitor, opposed to one of the basic models which just do the charging. If you get one with a digital readout, you can check visually the voltage of the cells in the battery. The cheap ass chargers which cost about £15 dont have that option, meaning you just charge until the light is green. You also cannot set the charge rate in them, meaning if its constantly doing quick charges the batteries will become damaged quicker.

The charger you suggested is not bad either, its pretty much the same as the turnigy. If you look within the UK for a shop that sells lipo batteries and chargers, youll find the one i was refering too. Its also widely publisised within AI mag. At the end of the day, you need to pay a little bit more to ensure you are getting a charger which you can do decent balance charges, and which you can see the voltage per cell. If you are only using 2 cell batteries such as 7.4v 1200mah batteries, you want to be doing trickle balance charges. If you dont balance the cells then thats when things start to set on fire. With a digital display you can tell if your cells are balanced properly. When doing the charges you set the Amps per hour yourself, being about 0.5 - 1a per hour to ensure its not too fast. Anything more than that will charge the batteries too fast. This is why its wise to avoid the cheap chargers which you have no say at the rate they charge.
Basically, anything which you can control the rate of charge, with a digital display of the charge rate and voltage per cell, should be a good bit of kit. Dont be afraid to shell out for a decent charger, as with the price of lipo you will get nothing but benefits from owning a decent charger and looking after your batteries.
