i take you back to my original suggestion then lol, failing that what do you want out of the decoration? do you want it to change the aesthetics look good?

mostly asthetic change yes, practical use is not so important

Other than the mag boot and the ranger plates and magpuls there really isn't anything else as far as i'm aware

strip the paint, dip em in water, leave em in the garden till they rust up then spray it with a lacquer and boom rat rod mags :D

a sensible suggestion

what about nice graphic numerals?
written vertically in a large bold font (impact, etc)
ie: M01, M02
you could use a tip-ex pen or similar

failing that idea....
- glitter
- fuzzy felt
