VFC Scar-H, yay or nay?
4 December, 2011, 14:46
Hi all,
Just a quick question today. I am in need of a new AEG and I have always loved the Scar-H so was planning on buying the VFC deluxe one but I've read one or two reviews on it (none I could find here) and they seemed to think it was more a "wall hanger" and that the motor died very quickly and that it has plastic bushing. However I also read (on the same site) a few good reviews about it.
Is anyone able to shed any more light on this before I possibly make an expensive mistake?
Cheers,
George

Re: VFC Scar-H, yay or nay?
I considered this question very carefully a while ago.
I nailed it down to the Classic Army or the VFC.
Did a lot of research on both guns, handled both and to be honest, based on the exterior build quality and little touches, had decided on the VFC. Then I was lucky to see both guns stripped down to have a power downgrade and saw the internals of both guns.
I acquired the Classic Army one soon after.

Very helpful, ta General.
Would it make a difference in the fact that'll it'll be a Gen. 3 VFC gun?

Aren't internals a bit dodgy though Pan?

No, I don't think so. Certainly not the best but good enough.

Are they easy enough to get parts for to upgrade/fix etc?

You can order most if not all parts direct from VFC and they're very helpful. They even answer emails.

Just to say I did decide to take the plunge and buy one of these beauties. I did consider buying the TM recoil Scar-L but thought I would wait a while to get that and I wanted a Scar-H. I did look at other guns but none caught my attention like that did. I will be posting pictures when it arrives
