Sniper rifle project?

Hi guys

Im looking to start a Sniper rifle project, ideally doing all the work myself (slowly learning, so far stipped down a M4 to just the gearbox (not opened) so i feel im getting there. You have to start somewhere and this a good a place as any.

anyway, what would you guys suggest as a good gun to start out that would make a good project? ideally not costing the earth but with the ablity to get the parts quite easily.

I think possibily a BAR-10? L96?

i would say the bar10 , they are much easier to find upgrade parts for , although some people find it uncomfortable to hold but that's opinion . I would recommend the TM version , when upgraded properly is one of the best rifles on the market

Bar10 or better VSR10, there are far more upgrade parts for them than any other platform.
