Most likely yes as far as I can see, iirc the 228 is almost exactly like the 229 but with a curved trigger guard instead of the squared/hooked one on the 226/229. Depending on what holster you are looking at I can't see there being a problem.

no the sig is a 229 not a 228, its a KJ works

Just an update a sig 226 mag will not fit a sig 229, next job is to find a sig 226 holster and see if the 229 fits in that

Mate i saw one on Ebay that stated it took both 229 and 226 and a couple of other variants.

I didnt think it would because of the differences in the slide.

Forgot to add: 226 holsters generally fit the 226 and 220 models.

really depends on the holster. some holsters retain the pistol via an internal catch on the trigger guard, some retain the pistol by friction fit or molding. the different overall length of the 228 vs the 226 would be a problem with some holsters, not a prob with other types..

any particular holster that you're looking at?
