Get crane stock batteries to fit where?
If you're thinking in the front handguard area, then No, they won't fit, you're better off getting a split LiPo 7.4v battery.

Re: Will a crane battery fit...
9.6v crane stock batts are quite large.
But there are "mini ones" with around 1500mAh:
and "large Type" ones usually around 2200mAh:
have a measure, some crane stocks have a little spacer in that lets them take smaller batts without them wobbling around.

Re: Will a crane battery fit...
You can't trust a battery that, lasts longer than Nimh, charges easier and faster, costs less, is far less likely to catch fire?
Can't understand some people!

Ive never seen a nimh go up in flames. I have however seen two lipos go up.

Re: Will a crane battery fit...
Depends on what you mean by a crane stock battery.
If you mean one that's got a moulded plastic end cap so that it slides into the stock in one piece, then probably not:
But, if you mean a battery that's split into two (or even three) groups of cells connected by wires (as also pictured above) then most will fit depending on the make of M4 and the type of handguard:
I've even seen one of these stuffed into a cqbr handguard once. Very tight, but it did fit.

How long ago did you see your last LiPO go up in flames?
