Re: Charging batteries
Just buy a smart charger. In fact I'm pretty sure that all lipo chargers detect when they're full.
You are using a dedicated lipo charger to charge that lipo aren't you?

Re: Charging batteries
Then you don't need to time it? Thats a smart charger?
Read the manual you got with it on how to set it up.

Re: Charging batteries
Ah ok. Yeah, smart charger automatically sense when the battery is fully charged and stop. That's why they're brilliant!
Just have a gand through your manual, had a look at some videos and your charger looks pretty complicated!

So do set the safety timer to like 4 hrs or something so that I can let the charger tell me when it's charged? Also when the charging current goes to 0.1a does that mean its done?

Re: Charging batteries
The safety timer setting depends on the capacity of the battery and the charging current. If you were charging a 2000mah battery at 2 amps you'd set a safety time of around 85 minutes. I think you do (capacity/charge current)/11.9 for a value in minutes.
If the current drops back to a trickle charge then yes it means its done charging.
