Re: improving range and accuracy
Have you tried the search function as there has to be a threat like this somewhere.

Re: improving range and accuracy
thread* SAS Scott.
And yes, use the Search Function please!
However, a tight bore barrel, good quality ammo and good hop up rubber will do the trick.

As usual a great contribution SAS Scott, use the search function is such a pointless comment. If you see these threads so often why don't you just answer the damn question.

Re: improving range and accuracy
Nice hop rubber, tightbore wont do much apart from up your fps, in a highly tuned sniper rifle the real techs are now looking at 6.04 as a baseline for accuracy at range, some even opting for a 6.08! Id start with the rubber and nub combo first and look at homebrew mods. tweak it without spending much. springers are great platforms for diy modding.

Re: improving range and accuracy
The best upgrade I found for a noticable improvement was moving to heavier BB's..I didn't believe it 'til I tried it.....

Re: improving range and accuracy
Exactly, you dont have to throw mega dollar at things for them to work well. small mods to a sniper rifle can make a world of difference.

Firefly bucking improve's accuracy quite largely as well as range and can be picked up quite cheaply.

Re: improving range and accuracy
Tightbore as mentioned by me will provide little to no accuracey at range, but you may see tighter groupings at shorter ranges. Theres a whole thread in the tech section dedicated to bolt actions, it will fill you with a wealth of knowledge but may take a couple of days to read and understand it lol. At 450fps you will want to use .30g +
EDIT...... heres the thread

Re: improving range and accuracy
The ammunition depends on the power of your rifle. Use over .35g if you shoot over 400fps.
And there's tonnes of DIY mods, just search through Zero In, airsoft sniper forums and other forums.

Re: improving range and accuracy
slide out the inner barrel and make sure the disk on the inner barrel is in the middle, then slap a little tape either side, stops it sliding to the base when you reinsert, this stops the inner barrel slap on firing, makes for more stable flight, every little helps!
a 70deg hop rubber is a good investment too, esp if you go for heavier ammo
