Re: M14 Essentials
Krylon?
I don't know but I always fancied going for that Blackhawk Down look myself... Also get yourself a real deal M1 Garand/ M14 sling for her.
A mini type 12v battery?

I presume you mean a sling? If so, yes, a good idea. You probably want to get yourself a decent battery charger as well, as clone chargers aren't all that great. Not sure what battery comes with the CYMA, but you may want a decent battery as well. You'll need some method of carrying the mags while skirmishing. Other than that, nothing's really essential

Re: M14 Essentials
Why would he need krylon and a 12v battery lol
Its obviously two tone for a reason which would make it illegal to spray it and a 12v battery will murder the gearbox aswell as the wiring. Not sure if you were joking or not but just to make it clear to him dont get krlon and a 12v battery.
What you need -
few high caps
8.4v or 9.6v large good battery
0.25g bbs (madbull, excel, ect)
and a good charger - propeak as said above
and possibly a new hop bucking as some guns stock hop bucking dosnt do the gun justice (guarder clear or systema) - at the end of the day they are only 5 quid but can add much more range than they are worth.

Re: M14 Essentials
They are much more stable in the air and less effected by wind resulting in tighter groupings and more range. FACT

Re: M14 Essentials
.25 ammo gives much better accuracy. More expensive than .20. But if it only takes 5 shots to take out a target instead of 10.... then savings :D

Re: M14 Essentials
Don't get the 9.6v large.... It won't fit...
Look, you need to tell us what you want the M14 for... A long range semi auto counter - sniper? A Fully Automatic SAW? What you should buy is dependent on the role you're going to play with the rifle.
.28's I'd go for personally.
12v battery = much better trigger response.
Krylon - get rid of that silly two tone ness when you're registered. Do a custom camo paintjob as well if you're up to it.

Most places will have things to you within a week. Always best to drop them a line, check the dispatch date and ETA.

Re: M14 Essentials
All depends on the look you want. Some people will keep their M14 as stock, whereas some will add a Knights Armaments RAS, bipod, scope, George forman grill.
I ended up having a good scope and a spray job on mine.
