Re: What colours for two tone ?
If you change red to bright blue, that's OK - you're not making an IF into a RIF.

Re: What colours for two tone ?
No doubt Robin will come along and hit us with the knowledge stick once more, but as far as I am aware there is nothing in the VCR stating colours, only that they have to be bright and cover 51% of the IF.
I wouldn't quote me on that but that is my understanding.

Re: What colours for two tone ?
The list is in the RIF addendum to the VCRA, which also defines the defence we use for airsoft.

Re: What colours for two tone ?
From the RIF Statutory Instrument:
7.—(1) For the purposes of section 38(3)(b) of the 2006 Act and paragraph 6(3)(b) of Schedule
2 to that Act, a colour is to be regarded as unrealistic for a real firearm only if it is a colour
specified in paragraph (2) or if the imitation firearm is made of transparent material.
(2) The colours specified in this paragraph are—
(a) bright red;
(b) bright orange;
(c) bright yellow;
(d) bright green;
(e) bright pink;
(f) bright purple; and
(g) bright blue.

Hang on... Is it 51& or THE MAJORITY of the gun?
as if the latter, could you just not mix a purple on with say, white and black camo?
Would look pretty awesome i think :')

Spot on, it's the primary colour that needs to be bright, so 34% purple, 33% white and 33% black would be OK according to ACPO.

Really?
Imagine you're an ARV cop and a guy points a bright blue gun at you. Wouldn't you hesitate for a split second?
It's happening already if what my neighbour (who's an ARV officer) says is true and I've got no reason to disbelieve him

Re: What colours for two tone ?
Wait, so if you did say; a Red urban camoflauge scheme for a gun in which bright red is used for 34% of the gun, would that be ok? despite this camoflauge scheme being realistic as it is used in the real world?
