Ebay RIF seller- I'm not trolling but......

I've noticed a baby hicapa being split into upper and lower reciever on Thebay- I have mentioned the issue of reselling a RIF to the seller however, he thinks its ok and has no moral issue of what would happen to the two parts and who's hands they may fall into-
What's the legal stance- I understand the Manufacture of a RIF falls to the buyer, but surely the seller has responsability too?

Not the 1st and wont be the last. Guns are split into upper and lower sections on there all the time.
Depends if the same guy wins both parts I guess.
Individually, are they rifs? or just non functional spare parts? depends how u look at it I suppose.

You are allowed to mention ebay you know, was confirmed by one of the mods a few months back. Anyway, have you seen the other thread about the ICS that was on ebay

inform ebay of such goings on. words to the affect of "are you aware that a seller is attempting to sell two halfs of a working imitation firearm on your site?" ive heard before they dont want anything to do with it and get rid of it as even though its not illegal its against ebay rules

Hey Bal! Yer I thought of it, then I thought of bidding for it, then I thought of having a quiet word with the seller, then I came on here to see if I'm just being a busybody do-gooder! I guess it's really down to the site to police it's own sales, just thought it was free reign to sell rifs through such sites with little way of checking the buyers legal standing, and that sucks! Especially if it brings genuine skirmishers reputations down when they fall into the wrong hands!!

as far as i was aware its not illegal to sell the gun in two parts,its not even illegal for one person to buy both parts....even if the the buyer decides to put them together to form a rif and has no defence,the seller has still done nothing wrong....

Im curious about this sale, cant seem to find it searching under baby hicapa, hicapa receiver, upper receiver or lower receiver. What am I missing
