Importing GBBR magazines
23 September, 2011, 15:15
Hey all
Just need to clear something up.
Do magazines fall under RIFs? Or are they seen as an accessory/part which do not require a UKARA/defense?
I ask as my GHK CO2 mags have been sitting in customs for the past couple of days with a status of "Pending customs inspection."
Cheers
Paul

Re: Importing GBBR magazines
Can a magazine be mistaken for a gun? Unless it's a gun shaped magazine, you'll be fine
Of course, your only issue may be if customs think they're real mags. However, I expect they're just planning on slapping on the customs charges

Re: Importing GBBR magazines
Thanks Fizzy!
I had a feeling that'd be the case, though I thought I'd ask as I've never had anything sit in customs for more than a day!
Appreciate the response. (Despite my question being somewhat silly)

Re: Importing GBBR magazines
UKBA have a 48 hour time window for clearing items . You often find they come out of customs just before that 48 hour window is up

Re: Importing GBBR magazines
I've had gbb mags spend three or four days in customs before being released. Never had a problem. except the £25 handling fee..

Re: Importing GBBR magazines
Cheers for the responses guys! Guess my worries were unfounded.
I couldn't find these mags in the UK so had to order abroad. Ordered 6 in total, hopefully I don't get shafted too heavily with fees!
