Re: tw@t's on the field ..
Does get annoying at the mall.
Players with no situational awareness colour challenging and shooting their own team.
But what can you do.

I'm not sure why people get so pent up about colour challenges. It's not real life, so you really can shoot first and ask later!

Re: tw@t's on the field ..
Whilst i agree with you Ben, It's frustrating when your in the one life games, you colour challenge and they dont answer or answer honestly then claim they forgot ect ect....
i personally think that in CQB engagements not CQB sites... Colour challenges really help. I know i use them, very rarely but i use them, saves me making a mistake and shooting a TM and us lose an objective.
Dead or alive....your coming with me

Re: tw@t's on the field ..
Just try to memorize the people on your team. Works for me (even with so much multicam).
The issue with this arises when you end up in massive games...

And if everyone stands there asking who is who it all falls apart anyway!

You can, but some sites (GZ for example) use a blue on blue rule where should you hit one of your own team, you take them and yourself out. Yes, it's only a game but I'd prefer not to put my team at a disadvantage if I can help it

Re: tw@t's on the field ..
What I think helps at my local is that 85-90% of people that turn up are regulars anyway, so we all know each other.
Back on topic;
We all know what the panic and confusion that is caused by a grenade - everybody scrambles and splits up, every man for himself (or lady for herself). Those that aren't taken out by the grenade are left split from their group and confused (albeit for a few moments before they realise their group has been taken out.
The last time I played alongside my brother, one person hurls a grenade over the top of some trees into a treeline full of long grass and bushes that run the perimeter of the site. The site is square and me and my brother were just around the corner, where the enemy were (and where the grenade landed). We heard our team mate call the grenade as he threw it and waited for the bang... "Bang".
After the bang, me and my brother sprinted around the corner and took out EVERY member of their team that wasn't already out via the grenade. This game (being my local's CQB area) was semi only. One of the people we both hit yelped, went prone and took us both out on full auto leaving us rather peeved.
Funnily enough, he's the renowned tw@t/d!cksofter at the local. The usual loud, gobby, self-loving buffoon that spends £1000+ on a gun which means he hits everything he looks at.
Same day, my brother and one of our friends were behind some cover aiming at (shock horror) this same buffoon. They keep popping out and firing one or two pot-shots at him as you do. He yells for them to take their hits... He wasn't even pulling the trigger! A marshal saw this, and told him - much to his displeasure - my brother then proceeded to shoot him.

Jesus Christ, is that common sense? I only ask because you rarely see it nowadays...

Re: tw@t's on the field ..
At the mall we put the colour challenge in as the very last thing we brief - it's not a 'rule' but a way to figure out who you're engaging with.
You walk into/past a room and there is another player of unknown team inside.
You may/should engage the person once you've accurately acquired your target & made a decision on which team they are on or if they are a marshal.
The person may have fired shots at you & you've not seen a team colour whilst ducking for cover etc or you cannot see which team they are on - this is when the colour challenge comes into best effect.
You announce your team colour & ask theirs all with two simple words (assume you're orange team) "Orange, Colour?" or "Colour, Orange"
For whatever reason, the other player knows you've seen them & so must reply (in this case) "Green Colour!"
They must not lie!
If you walk into every room and corridor shouting the the colour challenge for no good reason, you're abusing the system that is there to help prevent "blue on blue" kills & you're upsetting the game & the other players.
There is a time where you can IGNORE the colour challenge - that is when you're tucked into a corner & you know for certain nobody has seen you - another player may have come into this room (either team) and been chalenged from outside because that player has been seen or exchanged rounds or what not, they would need to answer any colour challenge issued to THEM. You're not seen. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REPLY but if the player issuing the challenge happens to be on your team, it's probably best to answer when you're clear to do so or you may get rinsed.
Any player walking around shouting "COLOUR? COLOUR? COLOUR?" is not adhering to the colour challenge as they are not using both words (Colour, Orange?) and are simply STATING they are on
A
team. The same goes for repeatedly shouting "Green! Green!", you're simply stating that you're a green.
If you ask the challenge correctly & get no response, ask again. If still nothing, assume the person is either gone or an enemy - they had the chance!
It's quite unsporting in any situation or on any site to ask a colour challenge & jump out spraying whilst shouting you're colour - if they know you're there & have asked, you're not going back to your spawn point or safe area because the person who asked you was being a good sport - they could have nailed you & asked questions later.
Rules one & two of LIFE - treat others in the same way you'd like to be treated & no matter what you do ever, it doesn't matter - providing NOBODY gets hurt!
AP.

This, in my opinion, is what all sites should use.
You may colour challenge but they don't have to respond.
If you do respond you must not lie about your colour.
If you end up shooting a team mate its their fault for not answering.

Re: tw@t's on the field ..
I think the basic issue I have here comes down to honour. Nearly ever site I have ever played at that has had a colour call or attacker/defender call has said you must be truthful. Now if I make a challenge to someone who I know is there, eg there are people round this corner that I KNOW are there (Different situation to Marco-poloing), and they exploit this, they are being dishonest and dishonorable. And if someone is going to lie to deliberately exploit this gap, I wonder how far the rest of their honorable play extends? Can I count on this guy to count his respawn time properly, adhere to FPS or engagement limits, or even take his hits? It's a hobby based entirely around honour and fail play lads, you take that part away in any one section, and it all falls down.

Re: tw@t's on the field ..
My mate decided that using guns are overated, instead he decided to pull out his rubber bowie knife (this think is like 11 inches long) he runs into what we call the 'tire fort' at our local site, he then precedes to get 9 knife kills- I s**t you not- the funny part of the story is that they is this one woman who refuses to take the knife hit and instead swings the insult-' F**k you you little Sl*t. Because of this me and around 10 other guys decide to fire fully automatic at her (from safe distance of course) for about 1 min, needles to say she then took her hit.
