FAQ for new players

Hey guys,

now i know the new players section is the place for questions but i was thinking the other day, why not make an FAQ sticky for them to look at?

We could use it to cover the usual questions surrounding same as two tone, VCRA, BB's, Certain makes and other bits. I know there is the acronym part but maybe incorporate or link between the two, then add to it as more questions are asked.


Thoughts? Ideas?

I'm new and i'd read it, But like most forums people are likely to ask questions evn though the answers are staring them in the face, I do this also

+1. No one reads the tech sticky, why should a FAQ be any different?

I agree with Fizzy and Keeper, plus it would be hard to cover enough subjects to answer even a fraction of the sort of questions new player may ask

I suppose something in the Newbie (and or) General Discussion section covering "What's the best gun" and "How do I buy said gun" may be worth while? Ok, so most people wont read it, but it should only take someone 10 mins to knock up? After all, there's no real answer to what am best gun. The advice would be to rent\try\buy (after narrowing down your choice)

I think we're all pretty tolerant to new users. We answer their basic questions, as we acknowledge that they may be new to forums as well.

If anybody is interested i wrote a 35 page Airsoft Introductory Manual for all the new players at my site...its got pictures and everything!
