pointless sales warnings?
13 September, 2010, 15:35
Heil .I've had 2 of my sales deleted and, 2 warnings for deleting parts of the sales template that don't relate to my sales .Rather than leaving them in ,and filling in NA/NO/NONE ect .If I collect up enough of these warnings will I end up being penalised in some way, because I've always done it with every sale I've made without receiving a warning .And I'll no doubt have a bit of a back log if you want to dish out some more. Whats is also unusual is that the warnings have been handed out after being previously edited by mods without scrutiny. In all it seems fairly pointless ,as I have given all the relivant infomation to the sales. Should the users of this forum be allowed to do this .Personally I feel its no point in being there if your just going to write NA/NO/NONE next to it. Your thoughts?

Re: pointless sales warnings?
Ive got to agree with you there dude, if its not needed why use it?
Its like the clothing part, the size bit, I'd I'm selling gear that doesn't use a size eg: a backpack I won't put it

Re: pointless sales warnings?
Well I think the reason for it being picked up is I had a memeber ask about swaps ,and I had deleted the swaps ect bit. Yet after posting no swaps , another member offered a swap .Most would assume no swaps if its not present ,but I've seen sales threads where the user has filled in the no swaps yet still are offered. I realise its to save sfs editing threads but you still get people postin nonsense on sales threads reguardless .The main one I usually delete is the picture ,as the picture being present is self evident.

Re: pointless sales warnings?
In my opinion all parts of the sale criteria should be included, and it only takes a second to write NA/NO etc, and clears up alot of quarrels and as you say, pointless PM's offering swaps when your not interested in them.

Re: pointless sales warnings?
I think you're expecting too much :p By simply leaving out the swaps part you just know someone's going to ask because it DOESN'T say no swaps
The best one was "Pictures: On request" and 3 posts down someone posted
"Requesting pics please"
As to whether an infraction should be given, hmmmm, jury's out on that one

Re: pointless sales warnings?
It takes a few seconds to type no/no/no or n/a (I know, I've just done it).
What's the big fuss?

Exactly.
It might seem stupidly strict, but then where do the mods draw the line? It's either sales template or punishment. And the sales template isn't really that hard to stick to.

THAT.
It takes a few seconds to write out.
It stops people asking for swaps on the thread.
It stops people asking for splits on the thread.
So it's in the rules.
If you don't follow the rules, you get a warning.

Re: pointless sales warnings?
A warnings/reminder from the classifieds section for failing to use the template. is just a way to return your post to you for easy editing, and does not carry any "points" value.
