Spamming Sales threads
5 October, 2010, 21:43
Righto
This is NOT aimed at anyone in particular and im not Im not looking for an argument!
I have noticed a few times on sales threads where someone has said What their selling is RARE or Selling an OVERPRICED aeg that people start completley slating the seller on their sale thread!!
Now We all know that some things are priced high for second hand items or they arent rare but what reason do people have to be so rude to the sellers?
The sellers choose the price they think is fair and what they will get for it. Fair play to them if someone buys it for the price they want!
Some people Have no intention of buying the item but leave Bitchy comments anyway.
If its that important that you need to tell the seller that you dont agree with the price why not use the pm system??
In the end We are all here for the same thing The love of airsoft..
Why cant we show eachother some respect!

Re: Spamming Sales threads
Sometimes it snot meant to be rude, its just meant to point out that the seller is perhaps a little deluded or something, and to help them shift the item give some info

Re: Spamming Sales threads
i understand i have seen sales threads and thought WTF.... but why could the pm system not be used to contact the seller with some helpful advice?
When one person comments on the thread it invites more people to add their 5 pence it happens everytime!!

It doesn't matter, ANY sales spam is against the rules. If anyone sees it, please report it. If someone says their item is rare or it's overpriced, it's their choice. If you MUST say something, please PM them.

What about threads with basic errors or outright lies?

But then many people I've met don't actually know what's what when they first start up, they use forums for advice etc. Some of those people look to upgrading there armouries via 2nd hand buys and alot of people in there situation will believe that the seller is being honest, after all the stickys tell them to be, so isn't it also the job of the mod team to not only stop thread spam but also people from falsely advertising via there sales? Shouldn't the mods monitor them and when needed and jump in and say that maties standard, out of the box dboys m4 with a para stock is not 'rare' or worth £350 for example?

Report it and it will be reviewed, rather than spamming the thread

There's a whole world of difference between saying a gun is rare/worth £xxx and false advertising. If someone is saying a JG is a systema, then report it to a mod via PM (or hit the report thread button), but beyond that it's down to the buyer to decide if the gun is rare or worth the price asked.
Warnings/infractions are given out for comments on these threads almost daily. It's much easier to PM or report.

Re: Spamming Sales threads
Sales thread is down to the seller, we are here to watch the rules are kept its as simple as that.
Got an issue with a sales thread PM the seller and don't spam it up. If some one comes up and buys an "overpriced AEG" then it evidently isn't over priced as some one is willing to buy it, if it doesn't sell then more fool the seller.
