the latest line of questions relate to lipos and mosfets....the former having been covered to death on here,and latter a fair bit....and all the information....and i mean ALL the information can easily be searched with google,and youtube......

We can't put silly answers, because then normally our post is edited or removed and we're told off for "not contributing" to the thread...

I still don't understand why there hasn't been a thread put up stating "You must type * at the start and end of your search query to return more results"... That's the newbies biggest problem...

would be nice to see once in a while something like , which chest rig performs/goes better in my NSW loadout a RRV or 1961, but most people wont have a clue on what im saying or are , OMGZ viper molle am bestest

dont think there is a need to post a thread about how depressed you all are that all these new players to the sport want some advice from you more experianced players? yes it can be a bit tedious but all you have to do (like most of you do) is post a link to the relevent threads that that person didnt search for. would have thought that educating them would have been a pleasure, not a chore,
after all, we are trying to get more people into the game and get it recognosed as a sport, and threads like this and some of the comments that people post could be having the opposite effect,

anyway, i am a call handler for my local police force and unfortunalty, that is the day to day. although the calls that they showed the tv where a little "sedate" to say the least!
should have been in there on a friday, saturday night.......!!!!

I See where you are coming from, but most questions asked have been asked countless times before, and thus require a short hop to the SEARCH funtion, and even GOOGLE high lights old threads when a SEARCH is done on GOOGLE.
I have high lighted the relevent engines that people should use before posting another "Wot am bestest sniperz rifle?" question, in all fairness a question like that cannot be answered on any forum as its personal preference, however pros and cons can be given to certain guns, but again that has been done a million times before and GOOGLE will have a wealth of reviews and videos from youtube about the said guns. It just boils down to lazyness which also seems to come from the same group that want am gun NOWZZZZ.
At times a forum this size will have repeat questions, it happens but the amount the same question gets asked it must be on the same thread page and only requires a small motion called a scroll down (default centre mouse wheel).
There is an old saying some of us here know. 'GOOGLE, its your friend!'
Im sorry if this is slightly sarcastic, but I agree it gets very repetative when some people seem unable to look for themselves first, the tinterwebz is a big scary place, but far more forgiving than an annoyed forum.

I agree the same questions are asked but still the search engines are not always too helpful and we can help people who are new and want to for-fill there knowledge .
New people won't know if they said the question that has been asked already because there obviously new

Just because you've been here a while, and seen the same questions asked over and over, doesn't give you the right to tell someone they're stupid, or lay down the law as you see it. That's the mods job. If there's a rules infraction, report it. If there's just something you don't like, shut up and put up. Telling the new kids to search, and that they're lazy, isn't helpful to anyone. Doesn't make it a friendly forum.

Who would you rather go out for a drink with, really. The guy who asks a question when he could have searched (and may not have realized he could have searched), or the guy who immediately jumps in and tells him to search and use google, and gets really annoyed about it, when he could just ignore the whole thing, or even better, give the other guy the answer.

or "My gun dont shoot" or "What do I need for LiPo conversion?"
When ultimately it has all been covered elsewhere on the forum, and even some things have been stickied for ease of finding, its just laziness and all it requires a fair amount of time is to open those things called eyes and look, if you cant find it then ask away.

This is pretty much standard on any forum regardless of what measures you put in place it will happen anyway, so I would not bust a gut thinking of ways to stop it because it's bound to continue.

Tbh , There is a lack of sticky's TO do with the said subjects!

If there was a sticky which discussed " The different between a PTW and a normal AEG"

It would save alot of hassle , YES people will still make mistakes and make there own thread but then you can be nice and kind and just link them to the sticky on the said subject and leave it at that.

"What am best gun" Or "Whats the best gun for a nooby" Can be made into a sticky quite easily using links from zero one its self as they are now stocking cheap guns for the noobys

I dont see what all the fuss is about =/

All it takes is some patience and it can be dealt with quite easily.

Because people don't read stickies, it's that simple. If the longer standing members simply can't read stickies or abide by the rules, what hope have we got with the new guys?

I read stickies which is about 3 in total on this forum? Unlike arnies where it has everything that is important stickied, People will soon learn about it all and start using the search function/look for the topic at hand.

Here is a example , About 2-3 months back some one on this forum made a nice thread for noobys (For getting started etc) and i read it all and thought "If i had read that before i started i would have been better off".

It was very informative and made things very clear to the new person.

It was forgotten and just got left to fall to the bottom of the pages.

If that was made a sticky , Hell it would be alot better.
